Astrology Reasons Why Nothing Goes Right in Life

Has there ever been a time in your life where everything you do seems to go wrong? You apply for that job, and you don't get it. You attempt to repair your bond, and it only gets worse. The hard work doesn't pay off! But somewhere in the midst of all this chaos, you end up asking, “Is this in my stars?”

Don't worry, you aren't the only one. This is the question that is asked by millions of people every day in India and around the world. But, according to Vedic astrology, the answer is much more detailed and comforting than you would think. Your struggles are not random. They seem to be in a cosmic arrangement. Let's simplify it all.

What Does Astrology Say About Life Not Working?

In Vedic astrology, there are no coincidences! All that you experience in life, good or bad, is considered to be due to the planetary influence or the relationship between the planets and your birth chart (also known as Kundali). Imagine your Kundli as a map of your life, created when you were born. The relative position of every planet at that time gives us clues to the path of life you will travel.

In times like this, when life is in shambles, astrology observes some key things. It examines if you are in a tough Mahadasha or Antardasha. It identifies if there are planets in bad positions. It seeks out similar issues that are blocking you from different aspects of your life, such as Sade Sati, Kaal Sarp Dosha, or other strong malefic transits.

The key takeaway is this: You're not failing! You may be simply going through a trial by the planets.

The Role of Saturn: The Planet That Delays Everything

Shani/Saturn is known as the planet that causes the burden and restricts life. Saturn represents delays, discipline, hard work, and, yes, karma. Saturn, in astrology, will not randomly hold you to ransom. It brings you back what you get from your past actions and sometimes slowly and sometimes all at once.

This period is approximately 19 long years when Saturn's Mahadasha is happening in the chart. In this time, it seems you walk through sand. It's a hard job that requires effort at every moment. Success is slow. Relationships feel strained. There is a feeling of lack of advancement. The problem most people have, though, is that Saturn is not their enemy. Saturn is that tough teacher who pushes you to study more because he knows you can.

The most talked about Saturn phase is Shani Sade Sati. This occurs when the sign before your moon sign, your moon sign, and the sign after your moon sign are all passed through by Saturn. The entire trip will take approximately 7.5 years. You can expect to experience financial pressure, health problems, family problems, and a feeling of things falling apart during Sade Sati. But if you have survived it, nearly all of you will say that you emerged from it stronger, wiser, and more grounded.

Saturn also rules over your 10th house in the natural zodiac sign, the house of career. When Saturn is in a bad sign, or a bad house, or an afflictive house, then the stagnation of your career is actual and manifest.

Rahu and Ketu: The Shadow Planets That Create Confusion

Now let's discuss two planets no one understands, but everybody fears. Rahu and Ketu are not planets. They are darkened spots in the sky where eclipses of the sun or the moon occur. However, in Vedic Astrology their influence is regarded as very powerful and life-changing.

Rahu symbolizes "obsession," "illusion," and "desire." If Rahu is in a bad position or is active in your Dasha, life is confusing. You do a lot of work, but it is like you are on a treadmill. You desire more and you're not happy with anything. Your objectives seem to be constantly changing. Relationships feel confusing. Economically, even if you're working hard as you have been, your income may be unstable.

Ketu is, however, the planet of detachment and spiritual lessons. Ketu is more of a way of life; when it is active, particularly during the Ketu Mahadasha of 7 years, it has a peculiar way of things slipping away. Things can begin to become shaky with job security, relationships, material comforts, etc. Ketu is not the one that's destroying you. It's instructing you that you have been clinging to the wrong things, things that were not yours to begin with.

Ketu Mahadasha is particularly infamous for bringing a person the impression that everything is going in reverse. It is said that during this period, destiny runs away from you; astrologers call it the time when destiny runs out of your way. It may sound frightening, but the underlying meaning is deep: Ketu aims to destroy your old karma so that a new one can form that will be completely different.

There is also a Kaal Sarp Dosha. Occurs when Rahu and Ketu are placed in between the planets of the horoscope. It leaves one feeling as if there were things in his way all the time, regardless of his capabilities. The person who suffers from Kaal Sarp Dosha usually feels restricted and feels life is like swimming against a very strong current.

Mahadasha and Antardasha: The Timing of Your Life

Most of the people don't know something very important. Vedic astrology is based on the concept of Vimshottari Dasha, referring to the rule of different planets over different periods of your life. This is termed Mahadasha. In the course of the Mahadashas, smaller durations of other planets are also involved, which are called Antardasha.

Imagine that life is a train trip. The broad path followed by your train is known as the Mahadasha, and the specific track that you follow for a while is known as the Antardasha. There are routes that are easy and picturesque. Some of them are tough and have tunnels.

If you have a weak and an adversely situated Mahadasha planet in your horoscope and a weak and unfavorable Antardasha planet, especially in the Mercury sign, the situation can be felt as though life is falling down all around. For instance, the Saturn Mahadasha and Rahu Antardasha combination is one of the most inauspicious combinations. This is a time of confusion and delays (Saturn), when you might feel totally lost. They may make even your best efforts seem unproductive.

However, the other side of the coin is that understanding which Dasha you are in will help you plan more effectively. During a consolidation, concentrate on developing skills, improving relationships, and preparing for the future, but don't look for much to see right away. During the Dasha of restriction, if you push for explosive growth, you will feel that everything is not going the way you want. However, if you tune your energies and efforts in the way that the Dasha is truly useful, then you will find that things do begin to move, albeit in an unexpected direction.

Weak Planets in Your Kundli: The Silent Blockers

In addition to Dashas and transits, your birth chart might have planets that are weak, debilitated, or residing in bad houses. Much like building blocks with foundation problems, these problems are similar to structural problems.

Let's look at some of the usual signs that can signal when life is truly stalled:

  • A weak or afflicted Moon: The Moon rules your mind and emotions. When the Moon is stressed, there is perpetual mental restlessness, emotional instability, and a lack of decisiveness. If you are not at peace with your mind, then nothing else is either.

  • Saturn in the 1st, 4th, or 7th house under negative influence: This placement often causes significant delays in one's ability to be happy in one's own life, perhaps in family or home or in one's relationships.

  • Rahu in the 10th house: This may also make the individuals' career life more erratic than that of other people. It progresses but never in a stable way.

  • Ketu in the 10th house: When this is the case, individuals may feel a sense of disconnection from traditional success, despite their best efforts. The block to the career is more internal than external.

  • Mars afflicted in the 7th house: The 7th house is considered as the house of marriage, so Mars having been afflicted here can lead to problems in relationships, conflicts with partners, marital problems, etc.

What you need to realize, however, is that there are no completely awful placements. There are lessons and gifts in every placement that is considered difficult. Sometimes the planet is weak and can gain strength through a particular combination in the Horoscope known as ‘Neechabhanga Raja Yoga,' in which the debilitation is cancelled by the combination and a further enhancement is achieved in that area of life.

Mercury Retrograde and Other Transits That Mess With Daily Life

You've heard others say that Mercury retrograde is to blame for their missed flights, broken phones, and emails. Though the memes are funny, there is something to this in astrology.

Mercury rules communication, technology, traveling, and decision-making. The areas of life become shaky when Mercury goes retrograde (about 3 times a year). Contracts go wrong. Even the simplest of conversations can lead to misunderstandings. Electronic devices act up. Solutions that were settled end up being broken or being put aside in the end.

Having to deal with a planet that is transiting backward can make it seem like the universe is conspiring against the person experiencing Mercury retrograde. That's another reason why some weeks are more miserable than others, despite the fact that it may seem like you're doing OK at your job.

For instance, if Jupiter, the planet of luck, expansion, and wisdom, is in a bad sign or in a bad transit, you might feel that opportunities don't seem to be coming your way. That which should open closes. Financial growth stalls. As foretold in astrology, Jupiter is the one who opens the door, and when it doesn't, you stay outside the garden of abundance.

What Can You Actually Do About It?

Astrology isn't simply a matter of pointing out what is bad. It's also about providing you with tools to work with your cosmic energy, not against it.

If you feel yourself stuck in life, here are some things that Vedic Astrology suggests:

  • Understand your current Dasha: The first step is to know which planetary period you belong to. This will indicate which type of energy is in control and what type of energy should be focused on.

  • Check for active doshas: Some doshas, like Sade Sati or Kaal Sarp Dosha, or a planet with a lot of doshas can be found in your birth chart. It's half the answer to know where the problem is.

  • Astrological remedies: This system involves chanting mantras, wearing gemstones based on detailed chart analysis, performing small rituals on specific days, giving to those in need, and fasting on specific days. These remedies are not cure-alls. They are helping you to tune into the frequency of the planets.

  • Work with the energy, not against it: If you are in a Saturn phase, you need to be disciplined, slow and steady, help others, and create structures for the future, not quick fixes for the now.

  • Strengthen your weak planets: If the Moon is weak, then gentle practices such as meditation, water based rituals, such as some of the water remedies and love of nature near water bodies are recommended. Regular reading, writing and learning new skills can help if Mercury is weak.

  • Know the timing: Vedic astrology provides a timeline. There is no such thing as a bad period that can endure for a lifetime. A Sade Sati ends. Ketu Mahadasha ends. Being aware of this helps you to remain courageous.

Conclusion

When it seems that life is not cooperating at the moment, STOP and do not become hopeless. The Vedic astrology system is very compassionate and helpful in knowing why the things go wrong and, most importantly, what can be done about it and what not and for how long. The weight of Shani Sade Sati, Rahu Mahadasha, and Ketu Mahadasha that gives you karmic lessons and difficult combinations in your birth chart, everything has a pattern. There's a reason for everything. And all things must pass away. There's no set end date. You are merely being molded for greatness.
